Phase 2 Acting Co

Phase 2 Acting Co was founded in 2003 by Karen Stefano, Artistic Director. Karen has been an actress for over 25 years. Studying at some of New York City's finest acting schools: Lee Strasberg Institute, and the Actors Studio.

She has worked in Television, Theater and Film in such shows as As The World Turns, All My Children and many feature films including "Rear Window" with the late Christopher Reeves, "For Love of the Game" with Kevin Costner, to name a few. She also created a one-woman show entitled "Whoopie" which she performed on off-off Broadway. Karen graduated from Nazareth College with a degree in Theater. She decided to take that experience and share it with the kids in her community.

With that knowledge, she started teaching at the civic center in Bloomfield NJ to kids from 1st grade to 7th grade.                 

Mission Statement

Our mission at Phase 2 Acting Co is to educate, entertain, and bring awareness to the community. Our aim is to create and  build self-assured children through acting techniques and workshops. Prepare each child that comes thru our doors with tools for public speaking, promoting self-esteem and also work on character building. 

Each person involved with Phase 2 Acting Co brings their own unique background and style to the table, creating a one of a kind experience for the theater goer as well as the student.
